The Most Beautiful Music

Terraria's wide range of background music is truly enthralling; from Crimson retro style to funky Mushroom Biome. The question is: are Terraria soundtracks 1 & 2 -10$ Altogether-  worth the buy?

Terraria soundtrack 1 (TS1) and Terraria soundtrack 2 (TS2) are a collection of all the background music in the game. TS1 has 13 songs, beginning with:

  • Overworld Day: As you may know, there are two different Overworld Day tracks. This one goes somewhat like this: Bum bumbum Bum bumbumbumbum. It's not the one you'd download for your MP3, because it is the common music for a normal day in terraria. You've probably heard it too often.
    Buy It: 0     Nope: 1
  • Eerie: Oh yes! The beautifully creepy theme for Blood Moon nights and The Underworld, it is one of the best creepy songs I've ever listened to. It starts with a dreadful OoooohhOooooh... One of the more rarer themes, I'd say it's worth the pick.
    Buy It: 1     Nope: 1
  • Overworld Night: This is the MOST common theme, and this will sound familiar: OoooohOoooh... Bum bumbumbum Bum bum bum bum bum. It is SO FAMILIAR! EVERY NIGHT I LISTEN TO THIS! I DON'T NEED TO LISTEN TO  IT MORE!
    Buy It: 1     Nope: 2
  • Title Screen: Delightfully moody-  NaaaNaaaNaaaaaa...- Never heard in-game itself. Worth a listen.
    Buy It: 2     Nope: 2
  • Underground: Goodness, the mining song. WooowwwwwWooowwwww... The spark that sets it apart from Day and Night themes. It is fairly common, but the strange, interesting feel makes it thrilling.
    Buy it: 3     Nope: 2
  • Boss 1: Ba! Wowwowwow... Oh My Goshhh... Love this one. Perfect for the badass-boss-coming-through thing that it signifies. Ultimate retro style., with the laser guns sound in the backdrop. Worth it!
    Buy It: 4     Nope: 2
  • Jungle: Oh, what a to do! Ultimate Tarzan. Oh  -  ba ba...  -  Oh  -  ba ba... Best jungle theme I have heard for ages. You could listen for this for about 45 minutes, then you would have an internal brain explosion.
    Buy It: 5     Nope: 2
  • Corruption: Oooooooohhhhhhhh... Great! Fab! Spooky! Space-y feel about this theme. Beautifully matching the purple biome it represents. Pairs with Eerie wonderfully. Rare and delightful, I would buy it.
    Buy It: 6     Nope: 2
  • Underground Corruption: Baw baw baaaww... Fitting to the normal Corruption, what can I say other than... yes?
    Buy It: 7     Nope: 2
  • The Hallow: Oooooooohhh... Twinkle Twinkle Twinkle... Ohhhh! Nice! Yes! It sounds so BEAUTIFUL! I can imagine the Hollow being a fairyland. Buy this. Seriously.
    Buy it: 8     Nope: 2
  • Boss 2: uw uw uw uw Wahhhh... Not as ultimate as Boss 1, but OH SO RETRO! LOVE this one. Ba Wa Wa Wa...
    Buy It: 9 Nope: 2
  • Underground Hallow: Really don't like it. In contrast to the normal Hallow, it kinda drops the scales. Not liking it.
    Buy It: 9     Nope: 3
  • Boss 3: Booooooommmm.... Booommm Booommmm... Seriously not as badass as the other two, and I wouldn't say it's worth it. It doesn't work.
    Buy It: 9     Nope:4
That's it for TS1: Buy It: 9     Nope: 4

    Buy It: 2     Nope: 0
  • Rain: Common, Boring, I-Can't-Type-The-Beats-For-It... It's not really appealing. Apart from in-game. Not there, sorry.
    Buy It: 2     Nope: 1
  • Alternate Day: Un Un Un Un Un Un Uuunnuu... Common, but in my books, it's a 50-50. Lets call it both.
    Buy it: 3     Nope: 2
  • Space: Dinggggggg.... Uuuhhhhhh.... You kinda feel it should be somewhere-not-in-space-category, but you get the space-y feel. You get it, but barely. Overall the song was sweet, and it's appealing.
    Buy It: 4     Nope:2
  • Golem: Bumbumbumbum Euuuewwwwwwww bumbumbumbum... Wow. Intro is COOL... But the rest fails to appease me. It falls flat, only to the odds of about 40-60.
    Buy It: 4     Nope: 2
  • Mushrooms: Bum bum Baaww Bumm Bumm Bawwww.. Oooohhh Ooohhhh... I can't listen to this on the Soundtrack website anymore because I've played it too much. Buy it: 5     Nope: 2
  • Crimson: Bang Bang... Shooooooo... RETRO! Love the bit where it builds up... Bum Bum BUM BUM BUM... then cresandos down. Yes, buy this.
    Buy It: 6     Nope: 2
  • Lihzahrd: Zuuuuuu bi bi Zuuuuu bi bi.. BEAST in Chinese-Indian-flute-ness. It basically screams to good music lovers; BUY ME!
    Buy It: 7     Nope: 2
  • Ice: Bui Bui Bui Biiinnnggg... Buinggg buinng buinggg... It's kinda familiar to Overworld Day 1, more into the song, but the intro amounts to such we have to get it.

    Buy It: 10     Nope: 2
  • FINALE: Lunar Boss: And what a Finale it is! The classically retro Lets-Go muzak, it should be crown glory champ boss. Totally worth it.

SlimeFest

Slimes! The cute, but dangerous, slime. Hop-Hop-Hop; Here is the entry from the Official Terraria Wiki:

Slimes are the most common enemy type. They come in multiple sizes and colors, each with different health and damage. All slimes follow basic Slime AI and attack by hopping onto the player. When a slime is preparing to hop, it bobs up and down rapidly. Slimes float in water.
Slimes spawned on or near the surface are usually neutral and do not chase the player during the day, unless provoked. They become hostile at night. Slimes spawned underground are always hostile. Green,BlueRedPurple and Yellow Slimes usually spawn on or near the surface. Mother SlimeBaby Slime, andBlack Slime can only be found underground. Pinky may appear anywhere, although rarely.
All types drop 1-2 Gel, except for Corrupt Slime, which drops 2-4 gel, and the Lava Slime, which drops no gel. Gel is a vital ingredient, as it crafts Torches, which are of use throughout all stages of the game.

Vote for your favorite slime, listed below- poll ends next week from Monday, February 9, 2015.
